Privacy, Terms & Disclaimer
Last updated:
1. The short version
CoinReconcile is a tool that cleans and reconciles cryptocurrency transaction files. All processing happens locally in your web browser. Your transaction files are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We cannot see your financial data.
2. Privacy Policy
- Your files. Files you open are read and processed entirely on your device (in-browser). They are not sent anywhere. Closing or refreshing the page discards them from memory.
- Analytics. We may collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (e.g. page views) that contain no transaction data and do not identify you. These help us improve the product.
- Account & billing. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment provider (Merchant of Record). We receive only the information needed to provide the service (such as your email and subscription status). We never receive your full card details.
- Cookies. We use only essential cookies/local storage needed for the app to function and to remember your preferences.
- Third parties. The app loads open-source parsing libraries from a public CDN. No transaction data is shared with them.
3. Terms of Service
- CoinReconcile is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
- You are responsible for reviewing all output before relying on it. You must verify that converted data accurately reflects your original records.
- You may not use the service for any unlawful purpose or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it beyond what applicable law permits.
- Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
4. Disclaimer — not tax advice
CoinReconcile is a data normalization and reconciliation tool. It is not a tax, legal, accounting, or financial service, and it does not calculate your taxes or provide advice. Output is intended to be imported into dedicated tax software (such as Koinly, CoinTracking, or ZenLedger) and/or reviewed by a qualified professional.
Cryptocurrency tax rules are jurisdiction-specific and change frequently. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax filings. Always consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoinReconcile and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any tax, penalty, or loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service or its output.
